Phonak EON
Phonak EON delivers proven speech-in-noise performance in a smaller, lighter hearing aid with smart automatic processing, wind-noise reduction, and Auracast connectivity.

Phonak EON is Phonak's newest hearing aid platform and the third generation of its Audéo Sphere technology. It carries forward the strong speech-in-noise performance Phonak is known for, now in a noticeably smaller and lighter device with smarter automatic processing, better wind management, and modern wireless connectivity. At Hearing Consultants, our audiologists are glad to offer EON to patients across Cincinnati.
Hear Conversations Clearly, Even in Noise
The biggest challenge for most people with hearing loss is understanding speech when there is background noise. EON addresses this directly with Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0, dedicated AI processing that separates speech from noise, strengthens the voices you want to hear, and blends them back together for a clearer result. Phonak reports:
- Up to 50% better speech understanding compared with advanced directional microphone technology
- Up to 37% less listening effort, so following conversations feels less tiring
- Up to 2 times more likely to understand speech coming from any direction
This clarity technology is now available across three performance levels rather than only the top two, which gives us more flexibility to match the right device to your needs and budget.
Smaller, Lighter, and More Comfortable
EON was redesigned to sit more discreetly and comfortably on your ear. Compared with the previous Sphere generation, it is 25% smaller and 20% lighter, while keeping a standard rechargeable receiver-in-canal shape. It comes in eight color options so you can choose what suits you best.
Adjusts Automatically as Your Day Changes
You shouldn't have to fiddle with settings every time you move from a quiet room to a busy restaurant. EON's automatic system, AutoSense OS AI 8.0, is designed to react more quickly and intelligently as your surroundings change. It adapts faster between quiet and noisy places, keeps speech clarity active in more situations, and does the work in the background so you can simply listen.
Cuts Down Wind Noise Outdoors
For anyone who spends time walking, gardening, or otherwise out in the open, wind noise can be a real frustration. EON's WindBlock 2.0 reduces the turbulence that wind creates across the microphones while still preserving speech and the sounds around you. Phonak reports up to 50 dB of wind-noise reduction, and more than 90% of study participants preferred WindBlock 2.0 for its naturalness.
Connects to Your Phone, TV, and More
EON offers broad wireless connectivity through its Era chip, so your hearing aids can work like a hands-free headset for calls and video meetings. Connectivity features include:
- Compatibility with a wide range of phones, computers, tablets, and TVs
- Hands-free calling with two-way audio
- RogerDirect support for compatible Phonak remote microphones
- Native Auracast support for public audio broadcasts in venues like theaters, airports, and houses of worship
Everything can be managed through the myPhonak app.
Battery That Lasts All Day
EON's rechargeable battery provides more than a full day of use, up to approximately 22 hours even with demanding use that includes streaming and time in noisy settings. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours, and an optional portable charging case with its own built-in battery keeps you powered when you are away from home.
Who EON Is Made For
EON is a strong fit for people who struggle to hear in restaurants and social gatherings, spend time outdoors, stream audio throughout the day, or simply want a smaller Phonak Sphere hearing aid. It supports hearing losses ranging from mild through profound, including candidates who need a CROS solution for single-sided hearing.
